The Miss Alternative Foundation. is a nonprofit organization committed to empowering women and individuals who identify as such by helping them reclaim and redefine their lives after experiencing trauma and abuse.

Under section 402 of the Not-for-Profit Corporation Law 

Our vision is to build strong partnerships with corporations that would enable us to provide vocational sponsorships to our pageant contestants and back our community building program initiatives. 

Additionally, we are dedicated to hosting and participating in charitable events year-round, where we can make meaningful contributions to other organizations and support those in need. 

Your donation helps us organize high-quality events, pageants, and galas, while continuously raising the bar for women’s advocacy.

 The Miss Alternative Buffalo Beauty Pageant serves as a powerful proof of concept for our organization’s mission—blending self-expression, healing, and community empowerment through a nontraditional, inclusive pageant format. Based on its success, we are seeking support to expand and franchise the Miss Alternative Beauty Pageants Inc. model to cities across the country. Each new chapter would reflect the core values of our Foundation—resilience, diversity, and transformation—while being locally led to meet the unique needs of each community. Funding would support the development of a replicable framework, training for local leaders, and the creation of materials and infrastructure to ensure consistency, sustainability, and impact. By scaling our vision, we aim to build a nationwide network of safe, celebratory spaces where survivors and underrepresented individuals can reclaim their voice, power, and beauty—on their own terms.

The Miss Alternative Buffalo Beauty Pageant is a flagship example of our local division, showcasing the heart of our mission in action. It represents the unique spirit, inclusivity, and empowerment that define the Alternative Pageant. Our goal is to expand and franchise this model, bringing our transformative programs and message to communities nationwide—creating safe, celebratory spaces where all identities are honored and every story has value.

What began as a suggestion to create the already formed and trademarked show around an organization for battered women and domestic violence, has evolved into something even deeper—a movement focused on the next step: reclaiming power, beauty, and identity after surviving. We don’t just offer support; we celebrate transformation. Our mission is to help survivors step back into the world not as victims, but as radiant, empowered individuals who know their worth and are ready to lead, inspire, and thrive.
